The logo depicts the transition from one age to another. The lower, incoming arrow is the preparatory Mosaic age. The upper, outgoing arrow depicts the superior messianic age. The circle stands for the generation during which the change occurred. It began with the coming of Christ, his ministry, death, and resurrection. The cross within the circle symbolizes these (and other) works of salvation at the start of the transition generation. The destruction of the temple in AD 70 closed both the transition generation and the Mosaic age with its rituals and sacrifices. During the interval between the cross and AD 70, the apostles of Christ built up the church, gave her the New Testament Scriptures, and prepared her for life in the new age. The purple represents the royal majesty of Jesus the King, mocked by the Roman soldiers (Mark 15:16–20) but honored here.
